What is the difference between a vertical milling machine, a horizontal milling machine, an universal milling machine and a milling  drilling machine?
Compared with a horizontal milling machine, the main difference between a vertical milling machine and a horizontal milling machine is that the main shaft is arranged vertically. The milling cutter used for a vertical milling machine is relatively flexible and has a wider application range. End mills, machine clamps, drills, etc. can be used for keyway milling, plane milling, boring, etc. Horizontal milling machines can also use all the above tools, but they are not as convenient as vertical milling. The main feature is the use of hanger-enhanced tools (mainly three-sided edge milling cutters, sheet milling cutters, etc.), which can mill grooves, mill planes, and cut off. Horizontal milling machines generally can be equipped with an end milling head. An universal milling machine is suitable for using various bar milling cutters, circular milling cutters, and angle milling cutters to mill planes, bevels, grooves, etc. If you use universal milling heads, round tables, indexing heads and other milling machine accessories, you can expand the processing range of the machine tool. The worktable of a drilling and milling machine can be moved vertically and horizontally, the main shaft is arranged vertically, usually a desktop, and the head can be raised and lowered.
